Dark Horse Comics will reissue the iconic storyline about how Wolverine got his famous adamantium claws. Weapon X, a 1991 comic book, is considered one of the greatest and most influential Wolverine stories. It was in this story that readers were shown how Logan got his adamantium bones and claws. Now, Dark Horse Comics has the opportunity to present a new line of archival editions of iconic stories. Much of the story unfolds not from Logan's point of view, but from the eyes of the scientists who conducted the experiment on him. The story is structured like a slasher or horror film: these "researchers" become the target of an unstoppable and highly dangerous creature they themselves created. Other features include a black-and-white color palette and extensive artist commentary on the comic's creation. It originally ran in Marvel Comics Presents from #72 to #84 over 12 issues. The Absolute DC Universe introduced Batgirl—she's replacing Batman.

As part of the Absolute Batman #24 reveal, this version of Barbara Gordon was revealed. She's sort of like the Ultimate Batgirl, but with a different codename. Because Barbara Gordon is the Batman of Absolute Batman. In the upcoming issue, this story reaches its climax. The writers wanted to show that the heroine "kind of grew up under the influence of her father and working for the Gotham City Police Department," and therefore sees flaws everywhere.
