Mr. Freeze might help Batman defeat Poison Ivy. This week sees the release of the fourteenth issue of the ongoing Batman series, and the Dark Knight’s target has finally been revealed. As Ivy’s botanical creations spread across the city, Batman urgently needs to locate Mr. Freeze. The cold-blooded villain is far from pleased with the situation—and he may well be the key to stopping the rampaging villainess. Meanwhile, butler Verity Pennyworth is forced to defend the manor against attackers who have clearly underestimated exactly who they are dealing with. Batman’s stronghold turns into a battlefield in the dead of night, with dawn fast approaching. The comic hits shelves on October 7, 2026.

Doctor Doom traveled back in time and created a steampack Iron Man.

Marvel Comics is currently creating some amusing crossovers with the upcoming blockbuster "Avengers: Doctor Doom." A funny reference was made in Doomquest #3. In that series, Doom decided to create a time machine and use it to completely rewrite history. However, things went a bit awry: instead of physically traveling, he inserted himself into the bodies of several important historical figures. In the third issue, he managed to fly right into George Washington, the first President of the United States. However, at that point in the comic, he was still just a general fighting against England. The Battle of Independence, and all that. Of course, Doom's genius wanted to give Washington an edge, so he created steam-powered steel armor. He immediately transformed into the first Iron Man.
