Mr. Freeze might help Batman defeat Poison Ivy. This week sees the release of the fourteenth issue of the ongoing Batman series, and the Dark Knight’s target has finally been revealed. As Ivy’s botanical creations spread across the city, Batman urgently needs to locate Mr. Freeze. The cold-blooded villain is far from pleased with the situation—and he may well be the key to stopping the rampaging villainess. Meanwhile, butler Verity Pennyworth is forced to defend the manor against attackers who have clearly underestimated exactly who they are dealing with. Batman’s stronghold turns into a battlefield in the dead of night, with dawn fast approaching. The comic hits shelves on October 7, 2026.

Marvel revealed the ending of the most brutal Spider-Man's story in a one-shot about Mary Jane.

Over the course of his 64 years of existence, Spider-Man has died numerous times, but always found a way to return. Now, in honor of Mary Jane's 60th anniversary, an anthology entitled "Mary Jane: Face It Tiger" has been released. In one of its stories, Marvel Comics revealed the ending of the most brutal Spider-Man from Earth-312500. This gritty version of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #58 (499) and managed to shine in the following anniversary 500th issue. The character was much harsher than the friendly neighborhood Spidey we're used to. The cruel world and circumstances led to this. The classic Peter Parker in a similar situation would have simply neutralized the criminal, of course, with a joke. His older counterpart, however, unsentimentally hurls the villain into a wall, fatally. This is a very unusual image, but here the character has gone through a very long life journey and has completely changed.
