Mr. Freeze might help Batman defeat Poison Ivy. This week sees the release of the fourteenth issue of the ongoing Batman series, and the Dark Knight’s target has finally been revealed. As Ivy’s botanical creations spread across the city, Batman urgently needs to locate Mr. Freeze. The cold-blooded villain is far from pleased with the situation—and he may well be the key to stopping the rampaging villainess. Meanwhile, butler Verity Pennyworth is forced to defend the manor against attackers who have clearly underestimated exactly who they are dealing with. Batman’s stronghold turns into a battlefield in the dead of night, with dawn fast approaching. The comic hits shelves on October 7, 2026.

The Bat-Family is expanding: Bruce Wayne has a grandson, Alfred.

In the comics, the Bat-Family is constantly expanding, adding to the Dark Knight's network of allies operating in and around Gotham City. Core members include Dick Grayson (Nightwing), Tim Drake (Robin), and, most recently, Damian Wayne (Bruce Wayne's son). In honor of Damian's 20th anniversary, DC took a bold step by introducing Bruce's grandson. In DC K.O.: Knightfight #3, Damian Wayne's son, Alfred Wayne, was introduced. The reveal came at the very end of the issue, after Bruce was transported by the Heart of Apokolips (a powerful artifact) to an alternate reality where Damian became Batman. In DC K.O.: Knightfight #4, the curtain was lifted on Alfred Wayne, confirming that in this alternate reality, he became Robin at a young age. Alfred is named after Bruce's butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
