Mr. Freeze might help Batman defeat Poison Ivy. This week sees the release of the fourteenth issue of the ongoing Batman series, and the Dark Knight’s target has finally been revealed. As Ivy’s botanical creations spread across the city, Batman urgently needs to locate Mr. Freeze. The cold-blooded villain is far from pleased with the situation—and he may well be the key to stopping the rampaging villainess. Meanwhile, butler Verity Pennyworth is forced to defend the manor against attackers who have clearly underestimated exactly who they are dealing with. Batman’s stronghold turns into a battlefield in the dead of night, with dawn fast approaching. The comic hits shelves on October 7, 2026.

A classic Disney princess tale is being reimagined as a bloody Italian-style horror comic.

Image Comics, known for publishing offbeat and unconventional titles, has announced a slasher series titled "The Princess Murders"—a project described as "animated princess giallo" (referencing the Italian horror genre where knife-wielding men in trench coats typically stalk and kill beautiful women). The series promises a self-deprecating tone drenched in gallons of blood. This volatile mix opens up plenty of opportunities for Easter eggs, cameos, recognizable characters, homage covers, and other clever references. The first issue of this gory saga arrives on December 9th with no fewer than eight variant covers—including an adult-oriented version currently hidden behind a deliberately pink placeholder image.
