The 1,000th issue of "The Amazing Spider-Man" has garnered 400,000 pre-orders.

Marvel Comics announced that comic book shops have ordered over 400,000 copies of this milestone issue. At a retail price of $10 per copy, this represents $4 million in revenue for the "House of Ideas." The issue promises to be a turning point in the series: Aunt May has suffered a stroke and no longer recognizes her beloved nephew, and the wall-crawler will face a new enemy known as the Ravager. The issue is scheduled for release on September 30, with a second printing already planned for October 28.
